Returns on you Remodeling Investment

Many Homeowners, who’ve been unsuccessful in finding 2012 buyers for their property, decide that Major Renovations will reap wonderful rewards in the Spring.  And while upgrades will most always improve the appeal of a home, homeowners must recognize that they won’t be getting a dollar back, for each one invested.

According to the National Association of Realtors & the Pennsylvania Homebuilder’s Association, here’s an abbreviated summary of the most common home improvements and their expected return:

Entry Door Replacement: 128%             Bedroom Addition: 83.1%

Deck: 80.6%                                                Vinyl Siding: 79.9%

Kitchen Remodel: 78.3%                          Window Replacement: 77.3%

Biggest Losers

Home Office: 48%                                       Sun Room: 50.7%

Bath Room Addition: 59.5%        Garage: 62.2%     Master Suite: 55.7%

Curb Appeal remains the absolute best investment in Time, Effort & $$$
